The welcome was very friendly, the owner found a vase and arranged the flowers I had brought with me. The bar staff were very knowledgable and persuasive! The food was very good, the stuffed peppers and hock terrine especially good. Wine and beer list extensive as well, with some interesting choices to tempt.

We stayed in a small room upstairs across a yard from the pub. The room was snug but okay for one night. The pub was nicely full with a smashing atmosphere. Totally understand that dogs aren't always allowed. But it was the curt and unwelcoming manner from the staff that made this experience so negative. Not recommended and I won't be returning even if I don't have the dog. So antidog A bit tired looking Unfriendly staff Expensive food
