The hotel was excellent and very friendly. the owners were helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was clean and well presented. it was certainty value for money. we had two Jack Russell dogs with us that were also welcomed.

Stayed here for 2 nights recently, first impressions a little disappointing. Definitely in need of a lick of paint and a refurbishment. Had a double en-suite room which was a decent size and very warm, also quite clean. Only gripe would be furniture very shabby and bathroom really needs replacing, very old, shabby, not impressed with cracked toilet seat, also...

I stayed here with a group of friends. The Scarbourough Fayre Hotel is a family-run business and is one of many hotels overlooking the north bay at Scarborough.
Car parking is ample - in fact one of the biggest car parks of all the hotels along this stretch. The views across the bay towards The Sands to the north and...

I stayed at Scarborough fayre for one night with my husband to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. Our criteria for choosing a hotel/b&b was its position, we know Scarborough well and the North Bay is our fave place to stay - we booked a room with a sea view. We'd read the reviews, so were prepared for the hotel to...

On the plus side; great location and views, ample car park and thats where the plus ends... very neglected and tatty, from the outside paintwork to the interior and rooms.Room was very dated with old carpets and beds of concrete, bathroom much of the same,as I took the towel off the rail, it fell off the wall!. When we arrived...

We have stayed at the Scarborough Fayre Hotel a few times over the past few years. The hotel is great, reasonably priced and has fantastic views of the sea and coastline. Breakfast is really good, nice little bar for drinks in the evening. The staff can not do enough to help nothing is to much trouble. We will be back!!!
Everything you could want in a hotel this size and the owners who were very hands on were the nicest people I've met in a very long time and nothing was too much trouble! I believe a lick of paint and upgrading is on the agenda but the hotel room I had was very clean though compact but still had...

The Scarborough Fayre is typical of many UK seaside resort hotels that have had better days.
The Good: The hotel has superb views accross the bay towards the castle. The carpark is a decent size too. The staff were really nice, helpful and polite and deserve future custom.
The Not so Good: The food was as basic as it gets....
