We were booked in the travelodge on a non refundable early booking tariff which was fine. Limited car parking which we were aware of , meant we had to park in a multi storey around the corner which wasn't a problem. On first impressions the travelodge was fine, reception staff were helpful and polite. The room on the other hand... More

A lot cheaper than the Premier Inn which was 100 yards away. Typical Travelodge - clean, bed, shower and reasonable breakfast. No bells or whistles - why do you need them when you are in Scarborough for other things. Very convenient - only downside is parking but there is a car park 100 yards away which is £10 per day.

Arrived at the hotel unable to find a parking place nearby unfortunately. The hotel check-in was efficient and pleasant as were the corridors to our room. The room was very basic, even spartan by budget hotel standards. The windows were filthy, probably due to our room being so out of the way, which did mean it was pretty quiet though.... More

My self and my husband stayed Saturday to Monday .... We have stayed in a few travel lodges and this is by far the best one yet ... The room was big and clean .... The view wasn't very good as it looked out on to another window and that was it but u don't come to look out the... More

Had read other reviews and was a little dubious about staying here. However, the hotel was perfect; really clean, VERY friendly staff and the family room (317) was massive. Absolutely perfect for our family. The room was really clean if a little sparse furniture wise, although a room that size would be difficult to furnish. The hotel itself was not... More

Arrived for a three night stay 7th June at 2.00pm,asked if the room was ready to be told yes but we would have to pay £10 for an early check in "what a con"!We were allocated room 140 overlooking a derelict building, never mind we are there for the outside view after all.Started to get ready to go out for the... This is an acceptable hotel to stay in for 1 or maybe 2 nights, but for anyone thinking of staying in Scarborough for a longer length of time I'd suggest you find somewhere else ( but then again, I can't think of anyone who would want to actually stay in Scarborough for more than 2 nights ). It's just an... More

I have stayed in many Travelodges and found them a great budget hotel. The St. Nicholas Lodge at Scarborough was very disappointing. The hotel looks tired and run down from the outside and is not help by the litter outside the door (plastic beer glasses, sweet papers, fast food containers and of course the usual cigarette butts). However, the reception... More

Allocated room 230 as a last minute booking, cost £48. Room was minuscule with a window high up opposite buildings. Room so small that the bed was part way across the bathroom door. Everything was reasonably clean and because it was for one night only and we were watching cricket all day and out early in the morning it was... More
