Booked The Blue Ball for an overnight after a funeral, place is very nice, room (room 2 Fortesque)very good if a little small (but adequate), bathroom spacious and well appointed. Food I was a bit disappointed with, can't quite put my finger on why. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Sadly since changing hands, the standard at the Blue Ball did not come up to expectations. Although well appointed, the rooms smelt over-poweringly of gloss paint. Comfy, clean rooms and good breakfast choices. Evening meals, although large, are not particularly good. Staff are mostly helpful. Good bars with excellent local beers.
