A lovely modern hostel. We stayed in a family superior room which was spacious enough for the four of us and the kids loved the bunkbeds. The shared kitchen/lounge is spacious and modern and we had a great stay. Only slight down side is teh shower was very hot and not adjustable !

A nice modern hostel, with lots of space. Yes it has a few niggles (showers very hot & not adjustable, kitchen hob is a nightmare, and they try to squeeze all people into one room), but overall I'd go back and recommend it.

A really comfortable well equipped hostel - loved the kitchen. We had a family room and it was comfortable , spacious and en suite - excellent shower. Really central location for mountains , river and local amenities - would definitely recommend..

The Bunkhouse is a new and modern guesthouse in Ballater. It's clean but had a funny smell. You can cook in a new kitchen. The thing is, it's quite expensive.

great,modern facilities.Nice lounge,well equipped and tidy kitchen area.Warm enough,lovely wet room with plenty of hot water in the room.Good drying room and the owners are easy to get along with.Have stayed twice and will probably be back the next time i'm in the area
