We stayed here 18/5/2013 in room 118, this is right next to the reception and main door out of the building. This is ok in its self but you do hear everybody passing by and the door banging shut everytime. Car park is messy and could do with a bit of tidying up. The room its self was let down... More

We arrived late Friday evening parked up in the car park and went to lower lodge reception to pick up the keys to find the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Because we had booked family rooms the lodge was at the back of the Toby carvery which was fine but as it was dark 11.45pm we went up the... More

Booked a nights stay during Easter school holidays for £29 per night. Hotel location is great being just on the outskirts of Birmingham and within easy reach of M6 / M42. Receptionist was prompt and friendly. We stayed in the upper lodge, which is just behind the Toby Carvery hotel. Be warned, if you have a pushchair and you're on... More

This Travelodge obviously used to belong to another chain, as it looks entirely different to any other Travelodge I've ever stayed in. (used to be an Innkeepers Lodge maybe?) Our room had none of the usual blue and white decor, but had wooden furniture and headboards and coloured bedding and various pictures on the walls. The bathroom looked almost new... More

Never going to be romantic but does us fine, clean tidy and cheap. We travel all over for my lads Judo so price is essential, this did the job just right. Quite noisy with paper thin walls and heavy fire doors and pesky kids on their weekend away...god bless em (i was one once) , but that's no different than... More

..... The bathroom was dirty. "Hair" of some sort on the shower curtain (did not want to get too close to find out of which sort!!!). An earring behind the bathroom door so not swept properly. WARNING if you have breakfast at the Toby Carvery next door DO NOT have a cup of tea to go with it because they'll... More

Booked a room here to break up a long drive and for £21, really couldn't fault it. In fact, I'm doing the same drive again this month and have just booked again. Although the room was a little tired, it was clean and I had a fine comfortable sleep. The Toby Carvery next door was great for a pint when... More

I stayed here for two nights whilst in Birmingham for a family wedding. I know this hotel is a 'budget' hotel and we really did get it at a good price, but it was still poor. When we arrived check in was slow. We were left to wait in reception while our room was checked to make sure it was... More
