Haven't actually stayed here, but not for the want of trying! Sent an email a couple of months ago enquiring about dates, but had no reply. Have since phoned them, and left a message, but still no reply. I understand it's a small family business, but it's only 3 rooms. There is no way they are THAT busy. Not to... More

On arrival the impression was that we were in for something out of the ordinary. This was no conventionally shaped cylindrical lighthouse but a substantial edifice. The entrance hall was atmospheric and full of interesting artefacts. It did not live up to its initial promise as the Telegraph Room was sub-standard. We arrived on a chilly April evening and it... We stayed in the Telegraph Room which was in need of a deep clean, very dusty and in need of an update. The owners make a great effort to deal with an obvious damp problem and closing the shutters makes a big difference to the overall temperature . Breakfast was ok but overall it is overpriced and needs updating, faded... More

Let me start by commenting on some of the previous critisism's. This is a lighthouse litteraly on the edge of a cliff that was built in 1862! To renovate to some of the demanding standards expected here would be to destroy the history and character of this lovely old lighthouse. When you stay in a place like this you must... More

Have to agree with the remarks made in "Disappointing-so much Potential." We stayed in the Telegraph Room for a week-end in early October and are disappointed to read that it has not improved. Yes, the building is stunning, and our hosts were very welcoming and helpful, but for £8O each per night we were expecting a top quality room The... More

Having read all these reviews prior to booking & dismissing the couple of negative reviews as people with unrealistic expectations, I am slightly hesitant at writing a negative review myself. We stayed in the Lamp Room at £80 pppn. Firstly let me start with the positives; -the location is beautiful -the building is stunning -the hosts are welcoming and helpful... More

If you're looking for a characterless, bland, vapid place with no soul then this is most definately NOT the place for you. If, however, you want to stay in a wonderful, atmospheric bolt hole with the most incredible views, warm and welcoming atmosphere and the friendliest hosts then you will absolutely love it here. We arrived later than intended due... More

We stayed here to celibrate my 70th birthday and so glad we did. As you drive up the Great Orme your first veiw makes the hairs on the back of your head stand up, it is magical. Fiona & Ray could not have been better hosts, after a tour of the Lighthouse & grounds we were shown to our room,... More

What a lovely place to stay. We stayed two nights but wanted to stay longer. The host Fiona and Ray were friendly, entertaining and full of knowledge! Ray even told us what time the sun would set. The views were fab as was the breakfast and hospitality. Stay here if you can you will not be disappointed.
