We were camping but decided to choose Klosterhagen Hotel in Bergen. It showed to be a good choice as the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was the highlight. Great choice of different jams and the bread was amazing. The rooms are rather small.

As others have noted, if you expect large rooms/bathrooms as you might find in North America, this is probably not the hotel for you. My double room was not too small (plenty of room to open up 2 suitcases) and was beautifully decorated in a modern, Scandinavian style. The tea/coffee included in the room with a French press was an... More

The hotel rooms are quite small, but very cozy, comfortable and the interior design is very elegant. The people in the reception are very welcoming and helpful. Th hotel is situated right next to the touristic city center which is very convenient for walking around. The only drawback was the steep prices, but you're in Norway so don't expect otherwise!

Our family of 3 booked the family room and had relatively high expectations of the room. We were disappointed. The bathroom was great... with a bath tub and ample space. However, the low ceiling (inclining kind) in the bedroom was not to our liking.... Half the time, our heads were knocking into the ceiling... and we are not tall folks.... More

Prior reviewers have pretty much nailed this lovely hotel. About 300 meters from where the Hurtigruten docks, exceptional breakfast, super friendly and knowledgeable staff, close to the center of downtown Bergen (a 10 minute walk), and reasonably priced. We booked a room for three so the two of us had a bit of extra room. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for one night before embarking on a Hurtigruten coastal express trip up to Kirkenes. Room was a little cosy, but perfect for one night (and v.little unpacking). Great location for both exploring Bergen, and also for making it on foot (with wheeled cases) to the Port. The staff were welcoming and helpful, speaking excellent English. Yes, you have... More

I really want to love this hotel, as on first impressions it was great. Exactly as seen in the photos here and on their website - really modern, spotlessly clean and decorated in a way that made the place feel really relaxing. Our room was in the eaves on the third floor and although small had everything that we needed... More

My friend and I stayed at the Klosterhagen Hotel for two nights in Bergen. We really loved it in many respects. One caveat, before I enumerate them, is that there is no lift, so if someone has difficulties with stairs, it would be a problem. I notice some reviews comment on the small size of the single rooms, but I... More

A very nice hotel located conveniently next to the Bryggen UNESCO site. The staff was friendly and helpful in making bookings and providing recommendations for the area. We took advantage of the Fløibanen to the top of Mt. Fløyen; the entrance of which is located close to the hotel. Plenty of food options around the area however many are very... More

This is a modern, cozy, silent little b&b, but be aware that the singel rooms are very small. The bathroom was also very small, and all the floor flooded with water when you shower. Very nice breakfast, and I assume the dbl rooms are better, but I would not recommend the singel rooms.
