My mother and I stayed in the beautiful loft room here for a weekend in May 2013. The room was very spacious and welcoming, the ensuite bathroom was well-equipped and well designed. We enjoyed having a coffee out on the balcony when it was sunny. Located near the centre of Bergen, many restaurants, shops and attractions were within easy walking... More

My husband and I stayed in Renata and Yvonne's self catering apartment. I can honestly say this was one of the best experiences we've had on our travels. Close to the city, supermarkets and restaurants. We were given plenty on information to assist us to have a pleasant stay. Not likely to be back in Bergen but i would definitely... More

What a find!! This guesthouse in a charming narrow cobblestone street in the heart of Bergen is run by two lovely sisters who certainly know how to make you feel welcome and at home. Our daughter got sick the night before our arrival so we contacted them to see if they could help us find a doctor to take her... More

Unfortunately, the only aspect of this hotel that I am able to rate is "Service". After two emails inquiring about booking a room, and two weeks of waiting for a reply, we've given up. I can't imagine they are so busy with three rooms that they can't attend to the most basic of tasks, but we assumed they didn't need... More

We had a fantastic weekend i Bergen and living at To Sostre Guesthouse made the stay as good as possible. The location is perfect, the house has soul and great Bergen-atmosphere. The rooms was nice and the homemade breakfast was a winner.

We stayed at the Sostre Guesthouse for two nights and had the most amazing time. We received a very warm welcome from one of the lovely sisters and her husband, despite our very late arrival past midnight, stayed in a spotless and very tastefully decorated room close to all the main attractions of old Bergen town and were served a... My husband and I have just spent two nights in this delightful guesthouse (B and B). We were well looked after by a very friendly and extremely helpful host and had a very comfortable bed in a traditionally styled room. We had fabulous Norwegian breakfasts, - fresh fruit, muesli, yoghurt, bread, cheese, ham, smoked salmon, jam, fresh bread, etc. with... More

This cozy old house is sentered a bit off the main busy streets of Bergen, but it's still only a few minutes walk to main attractions as Bryggen and Floyen. We met one of the wonderful sisters, Renate, and she made our stay absolutely wonderful. And the breaky is so tasty! Jum! Freshly baked bread and eggs, and all kinds... More

I risk repeating many of the previous comments in this review, but having reread a few, they are 100% accurate. I arrived on a late afternoon flight into Bergen, and took the airport bus to the last stop which is Bryggen (current price 100 nok) The guesthouse was easy to find, even in the dark and drizzle, although I walked... Just completed our fourth stay at "To Sostre". If you're not into tedious big-chain hotels, want to stay in a great part of Bergen, yet would like to feel at home, then this is the place for you. We'll be be back! I won't repeat my initial TripAdvisor review of July 2011 but all previous comments still hold good: http://tinyurl.com/bhu7w7j.
