I chose this guesthouse because I wanted to be near the center and the station, I wanted a reasonable price and I wanted to stay in a wooden house. And that is exactly what I got. At the time of booking I clearly indicated my arrival time. However, upon arrival, my room was not ready and I was politely invited... More

I stayed there a couple of nights last month. The whole place is spotless, even the bathroom couldn't be cleaner! I had a nice, big double room overlooking the cobbled street and the bed proved really comfortable. Not that I could use the kitchen much as I was away most of the time but it had all the necessary equipment... More

My partner and I stayed here for two nights. We loved the charm and character of the place. It's a great location, clean and the owners are very friendly and helpful. She even had a collection of tourist pamphlets in multiple languages so no need to visit a tourist info centre. She recommended the rail ride up the mountain, and... More

We stayed at Skiven Guesthouse for two nights. The walk from the train station to the house was short, and check in was easy. The owner was outside cleaning and saw us. She knew who we must be right away and showed us in. Our room was next to the kitchen with a nice view from the window. Decent sized... More

You arrive after walking up the steep Fjellsiden (hillside) from the train station, hauling luggage in the famous Bergen rain, and your landlady ushers you right in, doesn't need a proper check-in or credit card, and you immediately know that although you're in Norway's second largest city, it's still a small town at heart. A lot of heart, much of... More

Considering the price of an hotel room in Bergen, this guest house seems reasonably cheap...However, we paid 100 eur/night for 3 persons! There is a kitchen to share with 3 other rooms. You find tea, coffee, sugar etc in the kitchen. The place is very clean, the landlady is discrete but coming down to clean after the guests several times... More

We found this guestroom very comfortable and convenient. Close to harbour and everything. We came back to room for lunch and break between sightseeing. Kitchen is handy to have. Bought breakfast from grocery store and used fridge to store milk, fruits, etc. Wifi strength is very good. Host is friendly. Shared bathroom is no problem, and is kept very clean.... More

Location and price - the key elements for any accommodations are met by Skiven. Located in one of the oldest parts of Bergen and close to everything. Only minutes to train or bus station and the main harbor area. Great base for touring Bergen. Guesthouse owners were very pleasant, hospitable and helpful - starting with original emails. The room was... More

Excellent location having walked from the ferry with lots of luggage. Train station was 5 minutes away and we were easily able to catch an early morning train. Also walked into town which only took a few minutes. Guesthouse owners were very pleasant, hospitable and helpful. The room was a good size to accomodate us (couple and one child) and... More

The building was very old but close to the station. The room was clean. The interior had a sense of beauty. There was a kitchen for common use. The rate was reasonable. The owner was a friendly, kind and beautiful woman. I enjoyed talking with the owner and other visitors at night. One couple of visitors from France served us... More
