Das Tyrol was a nice hotel to stay in, but definitely not a luxury one. We had booked for a superior room @ 170euros per night, but were allocated in a small, standard room, without a balcony and rather noisy. Very good location, near the historic centre and shopping/restaurant -area. Service was excellent. Braekfast was excellent also in austrian standards. Wery clean and beutifullly decorated hotel. No complaints. Sauna-section is worth trying. We did not travel with car. More

The hotel is ideally situated for exploring vienna. The staff were friendly and the rooms were well appointed albeit on the small side but that was made clear. there are plenty of restaurants in walking distance but also cabs and metro for further afield. More

We stayed here for 2 nights at end Nov. The front desk is very helpful, location is fantastic at shopping street and near the U2 and U3 metro station. Walking distance to Hopburg.
