Great location literally 2 minutes from U3 Stephanplatz station (exit Kartner strasse) and a stones thrown from Stephanplatz. Lovely welcoming staff. The rooms are fine and the breakfast buffet is very good. its the location that makes this hotel such a find - and so easy to get to from the airport. instead of paying 30+ euro it cost me... More

The Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth was an easy trip from the Westbahnhof train station to Stephansplatz. The U-train exit was less than a block from the hotel. Centrally located in Vienna, the hotel is just off the main street, which puts you very close to the sights, but away from the noise. Walking or taking the train meant that our hotel... More

I had a lot of trouble deciding where to stay in Vienna as there are so many places to choose from. I am so happy with my choice with staying at Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth. The location is amazing, you can walk to most of the sights, I never caught transportation except to and from the airport. The staff were very... More

I have stayed twice in this hotel on business trips in February 2009 and in January 2012. Its obvious advantage is that it is only 2 minutes away from the Stephansplatz, right in the center of town. The hotel looks prestigious and a bit old-fashioned from inside. The rooms seem to have different sizes but I always got a large... More

I spent 5 nights from Dec 29 to Jan 3, 2012 and what a treat that was to be in the middle of all the excitement of ringing the New Year! This boutique 60 rooms hotel just off the pedestrian Kantner Strasse starting at the Cathedral all the way to the beautiful Opera house. The staff very nice accommodating especially... More

I stayed at the hotel for two nights at the end of September 2011, arriving mostly for the successive evenings of opera performances, and additionally to marvel once again at Vienna's cultural treasures. I was very pleased with the hotel - it proved to be as most reviews describe it, truly very good and comfortable. I asked for a very... More

It was a hot muggy summer day, and I had emailed the hotel again stating that we definitely needed a room with airconditioning, which was promised, twice. Alas, the room we had experienced a malfunctioning aircon, and they brought up what the staff called a "Ventilator" (just a cheap oscillating fan). It was **STIFLING** ! No repair person arrived by... More

Dear Mr. Wentzell, Thank you very much for your report on tripadvisor. This is just to give you some feedback and information. During the time you were staying with us we had a heat wave in Vienna. We are operating with 4 controller boards in our airconditioning system. Regrettable 3 of these controller boards went down the same time, so they... More

Little more to add than has already been said by previous guests, location is just the best, although you are on a quiet side street, a few steps and you are on the main shopping street which is pedestrianized, easy access to all sights. Hotel is quiet, classy, impeccable service, warm, comfortable rooms with good duvets and lovely pillows. A... More

Named after Empress Elisabeth “Sissi” of Austria and serving such guests as Mozart, I did enjoy my stay at the hotel overall. I booked the hotel through Booking.com. The room was sufficient for our short stay, cozy, quiet, and came with a marvelously large shower. This was my first time in the city and the hotel was not so easy... More

The Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth is located right in the middle of Vienna, a short stone's throw from the Stephansplatz, and is therefore a perfect starting point for walks around the city. Considering the location, it's rates are probably more or less reasonable. I stayed there for two nights in December, and despite the city being full of christmas tourists, the... More
