Omena Hotel concept is quite clear - "cost-effective accommodation option" as they put it on their website. Every room is pretty much the same, no matter in which city it is located. I've been in both Tampere Omena Hotels in two years and both times rooms have been clean and cheap. More

We paid a cheap price for oursleves and our kids to sleep here while we waited for a sleeper train in the wee hrs to Rovaniemi. We had to make up the kids beds, it was very industrial (lino floors and iron painted wardrobes) but it was kinda neat looking, had wifi and very handy for the train station. it... More

The only downside is the complete lack of any service....You get a text or email with a code and that gets you in. efficient, but don't expect anything more than a room. More

It is really what you do expect - pretty basic but clean and moderate priced hotel, no restaurant on premises, so no diner or breakfast options. But it is located on the main street just outside entrance one can find plenty of various restaurants or pubs on evening for dinner or just hang out and enough early opening cafeterias for... More

I stayed in Tampere I in the beginning of November 2011 for 4 nights in room 315. I have head good reviews about other hotels of this network before, that is why I decided to stay in Omena in Tampere. Common impression - good. The only man we saw from hotel staff was guard - he looked like very responsible... More

When I was first told about the place, I was told it was basic and cheap, when I came to book (only two weeks in advance) the rooms were abour EUR50/night each, so I suppose this is reasonably cheap. The hotel is completely unattended, you are sent a door code via SMS which you must enter at every point (front... More

Hotel is located just in heart of the city. Room was silent and clean. Problems were too hot temperature (over +30c) in our room and you could't open window to ventilate the room. And of course there was no air conditioning. We arrived to the hotel around 9 pm. and there was no hot water in bathroom for some reason.... More

Me and my husband had to stay one night in Tampere after a late flight from Rome on the way back to St.Petersburg. The room was big, clean and modern with huge TV on the wall, Internet, coffee/ tea -making facilities, frige, microwave and bathroom cabine that reminds of a telephone cab in London:) Supermarket, cafes and shops are right... No frills, no staff, not many stars. Every room accommodates four people, so great for a group. Rooms are new, modern and basic. The earlier you book, the cheaper it is. Weekends can be noisy, depending on your luck. Wonderful for the budget-minded but NOT for fussy, luxury-seeking travellers. We stay in these hotels with my husband all over Finland... More

Omena-concept means that there is no staff at all. You book your room in the internet and get a code number for the door. Everything went as expected. There's not much to say; just a standard hotel room. Rather cheap price in the middle of the Tampere. More
