Clean, friendly, with a nice spirit in the common kitchen and other shared facilities. Only a handful of tent cottages, very well cared for, and so an intimate, easy-going place with many offers of help should you need something. The island itself is a kind of suburb--a very safe and sheltered one--of Charlotte Amalie. Honeymoon Beach is where most people... More

Thanks for your comments...the beach can get busy in the middle of the day...tis true but not before 10am and not after 4pm...best time for the beach to keep the sun rays down...and amazing!! I hope you also tried those hours.. We hope you will join us again. Returning guests receive a 10% discount if booked directly thru us and... More

I had a very quick stay at VI Campground which was a really pleasant end to my vacation. I had only two days to fill before heading home and Deborah was accommodating in allowing a less than 3-night stay. Deborah and her daughter were helpful with pick-up/drop-off at the ferry dock and providing information about the island. The property is... More

This was a truly upscale and comfortable way to stay on the Virgin Islands. We're used to tent camping, so it was a nice change having screened in, private cabins that looked like they were decorated straight out of an Ikea catalog. Bathroom and showers all within close walking distance. My husband and I really enjoyed getting to know the... More

If you are independent and love to be on the earth but comfortable at the same time, this is the place for you. Think: Summer Camp. Great fellow campers met, fun events like movie night on the beach and just plain slowing down time and reading, swimming and exploring. If you need to shop, eat in restaurants and need to... More

Overall this is a good place to stay. The campsite owners were pleasant and very helpful. The other guests were very friendly helping to make the stay worthwhile. The kitchen has everything needed. The suite was comfortable. Limestone beach (the closest beach to the campsite) had great snorkeling and was usually empty. Pizza Fridays and Movie Mondays are worthwhile. I... More

We have stayed in a large number of places in both the USVI and the British VI. We are not a family with a 6 year old daughter, and we were looking for a fun place to come and bring a friend or two. The campgrounds was a great place to stay - very friendly staff (Paul is AWESOME!) and... More

The owners were great, the place was very very clean, both the common and private quarters. Everyone who was staying there seemed nice and open with information. The place is very interesting, not exactly a hotel, not exactly camping, not exactly a hostel, but the owners seemed to have taken the best elements from each of these ideas and combined... More

The last time I had been to an eco-campground was the opening month of Maho Bay in St. John in Dec'77. That is now closing, as it's longterm land lease has expired. We are no longer 27 yrs old, but decided to try the experience at the new eco-campground on Water Island, when we had a few days left of... More

Water Island is a find; it's only 20 minutes by ferry from St Thomas, but it is quiet and residential. The campground is a 5 minute walk from Honeymoon Beach, which has to be one of the most beautiful beaches on the Virgin Islands. We saved money by making many of our meals (bring food from home or buy supplies... More
