We stayed at Hotel Skeppsholmen in October for 5 nights and both thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We liked smaller, boutique, design styled hotels and this was one reason why we chose this hotel. The hotel is relatively new and is very well presented. Modern, clean and beautiful rooms within a gorgeous 17th century building. We were upgraded to a larger... More

This is an exceptional hotel. While you are in the midst of Stockholm, it feels as if you are far away in the countryside. It is very quiet here. The rooms are huge and the bathrooms extremely stylish. The food is superb. I haven't had a better meal anywhere in Stockhholm. This place is a gem - a real find... More

We travelled here and stayed for 3 nights in January 2012 after choosing the hotel on tripadvisor. This hotel deserves all the good reviews it gets. Located on a small island you feel as if you are a million miles from the city yet it is only a 10 minute walk and you are in the heart of Stockholm. Breakfasts... More

It was nice to stay somewhere so calm and with the city close enough if you wanted it, The room we stayed in had a lovely view and was really clean. modern in style and i would personally prefer a more traditional feel to an old building such as this but it was very comfortable. Close to Museums and beautiful... More

Freindly staff and nice historical buildings converted into a design hotel. The breakfast (included in room price) was excellent, with local high-class eco item from a buffet. Had a very good dining with the special for the evening - not in the meny - nice fish. This hotel gives you better value for money if you are able the half... More

I read all the glowing reviews, I feel I must dissent. It is only a 10-15 min. walk over the bridge from the island which might be ok in summer. But when the weather isn't good, as is often in Stockholm, that 10 min walk across the open water can be bracing, as in OMG, especially at night after dinner.... More

I love this hotel and have been back again and again. It's on a lovely island just a 5 or 10 minute walk from the heart of old Stockholm. It is also by the Baltic Sea with marvelous views on one side of Gamla Stan and the Vasa museum on the other. The hotel is an old barracks turned into... More

A real gem in the center of Stockholm! Stylish rooms, friendly service and a great location. It was a great experience staying there and a lot more relaxed than at one of the more classic hotels in the center. Highly recommended, especially in the summer when the lush garden terrace can be enjoyed. More

Although this is certainly a nice hotel and the location is quiet - it's off the main track enough to be quiet and peaceful but not so far off to be too far away from being able to walk to most things in the city. It just felt to me that for the price paid the hotel was just ok... More

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for two nights at the end of November. Everything was perfect! We were upgraded to a larger room which was a pleasant surprise.
