Loved my stay at the Andersen. Staff are extra friendly and helpful, even the cleaners greet you with a cheery hello. My room was quite small but as it was just for me was adequate. Beds and bedding was super comfy. Nice bathroom, with a bath and quality toiletries. Breakfast was fresh, and of good quality. Not a lot of... More

Just got back from staying at the Andersen Hotel in Denmark. We were there for vacation/marathon in May 2013. The staff was extremely helpful in everyway-from the reception desk to the breakfast staff. They gave us cell phones to use during our stay and handed out umbrellas for the rainy marathon weather. Was concerned regarding the "redlight district". There are... More

The hotel is within a few minutes' walking distance from the Central train station. You can also easily walk to the city center, and a rather hip area with lots of restaurants and bars is just around the corner, too. The decoration is a bit quirky (pink!), the rooms are small but very nice and clean. The reception staff is... More

My husband and I stayed at the Andersen Hotel from May 9th through May 11th , and we booked a Junior Suite with the Mermaid theme. The hotel and service was exceptional (even before we arrived), and we would gladly stay there again. Prior to arrival, I emailed the Andersen to see if dinner reservations could be made at NOMA,... The location is convenient but hardly elegant. Walking distance to most sights and very very close to the central station. Working girls were a fixture in front of the bodega accross from the hotel but who cares? I did not dig the tricia guild decoration but the room was comfortable and everything was new and clean. The front desk staff... More

Let's get one thing straight, this is not a fantastic hotel, but it is a fantastic experience and this makes it probably one of the most enjoyable hotels that I have ever stayed in, despite some obvious flaws. The front of house staff are among the best I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with - anywhere in the... More

First of all, thank you for a long and in depth review. You made our day and did a superb job describing Andersen Hotel. Secondly, to be a quirky hotel (not standard but cool) is a prime description and we will keep working hard to keep it up. You are the kind of guest we enjoy serving and it sounds... More

This hotel is only two blocks way from the central train station, which is 15min from the airport. Great location. I had no encounter with any representative from the prositution or narcotic trades, never felt unsafe. Seven 11 and Lidl are nearby. The staff was really nice and helpful. Housekeeping was flawless. My room was rather small and strangely furnished.... More

Thank you for a valuable review. The location and Vesterbro neighborhood offers a variety of life. It is nice to read that you felt safe and comfortable at all times. Your comments on the room having too many chairs have started an internal debate and we have talked to some of our regular guests. Our conclusion is that it is... More

We had a three day city break in Copenhagen and the Andersen hotel was perfect. The staff could not have been more helpful-n toning was too much trouble for them & it made our holiday. The back rooms are quieter which was important for us. Breakfasts were fantastic. The hotel has bikes for hire and a relaxing lobby area for... More

If you're traveling by train in Copenhagen, this hotel would be hard to beat. It's only about a 200m walk from the Central Station, at the corner of Istedgade and Helgolandsgade. Rooms are decent size with large (by European standards) bathrooms, very comfy and quiet, more quiet on the courtyard side per the staff. We found the bed to be... More

Thank you for an excellent review. It is nice to hear how you took advantage of the Train station being so close to the hotel - especially if you use the rear exit to the left from the arrival hall. You may take your bike on the S-train for free in Copenhagen. Our neighbor Frk. Barners Kælder restaurant is serving... More

The hotel is nice and confortable, the concierge was extremely helpful and the location is good, making possible to visit all the main attractions by walking. Although it is close to the "red district", it was not a issue at all. It was a safe area very convenient to attend the meatpacking district and the nice restaurants over there. I... More

We appreciate your review and kind comments. It is pleasant to hear you found Andersen Hotel nice and liked the Vesterbro neighborhood including the old Meatpacking Area "Kødbyen". There are also some interesting Galleries e.g. Bo Bjerregaard in the area We value your recommendation and hopefully we may welcome you back i the future More
