Second time at Hera hotel but dissapointed this time. Choose this hotel in the first place cause of good reviews, close to center and the free parking space. On the first stay at Hera we had a small budget room for one night stay, which was on the back of the hotel with no balcony. The room was too small... More

Have stayed here several times now on visits to Athens and am not disappointed. The location is close to the Plaka and the new Acropolis Museum and is a short walk to several bars and restaurants. The Acropolis underground station is a five minute walk away and this can take you anywhere in Athens or to the airport. The staff... More

welcoming and helpful reception staff, lift gave easy access after a long journey, entrance and atrium nicely styled. room well provided for with fridge and tea/coffee facilities, great storage space for a longer stay. room size is better than ok, the only problem we had was that 2 people couldn't pass each other at the bottom of the bed, but... We are just finishing our holiday in Athens tomorrow and have really enjoyed staying in this hotel. The staff have been really friendly and extremely helpful without being obtrusive. Our room was a standard double, which we have found extremely adequate for our needs (what on earth do people do in their rooms that require it to be bigger). The... More

From the reviews I had read I was expecting some things to be quite not so good. Specially the "small room" type which was labelled quite a number of times as too small for two people. I was surprised. Quite so actually. The room was really comfy, the bed ok, and if you didn't plan on waltzing in the room,... More

My husband chose this hotel because of its location. The area is lovely and very convenient. The hotel overall did not impress me, for a 4 star hotel. Upon entering our room I was shocked at how small the room actually was. There was room just for one bed and that was all. I could hardly walk by the side... More

A few steps from the Acropolis subway station, next to the Acropolis museum this hotel offers what we're usually looking for: free internet, buffet breakfast, coffee/tea facilities in the room and convenient location. Right, the room was indeed very small but quiet and clean, and you get what you're paying for! At breakfast feel free to order special coffee according... More

Clean and comfortable. Just a short walk from the new Acropolis Museum. Great view at night from roof-top restaurant of Parthenon. Hint, since this is a small hotel, have directions in Greek from the internet for your taxi driver.

When we first arrived in Athens we were shunted to the Herodion Hotel, even though we had originally booked for the Hera. When we returned to Athens before leaving Greece we ended up at the Hera Hotel, but was left feeling that perhaps we should have opted for the Herodion instead. The hotel itself was not bad. It is very... More

We travelled with our entire family and needed 3 rooms. We were on the first floor so didn't have great views but we were able to have connecting rooms and were all together so didn't mind.
