The hotel is located near the very center of the city, just next to the office complex of the European Commission and just a 3 min. walk from the Gare Du Nord train station. Unfortunately it is located on the "wrong side of the rail road tracks", just on th edge of a rough districted of delapidated buidlings, sex shops... More

Several posts refer to the rough districts near the hotel. If you come from Gare du Nord you run the gauntlet of a run down area of sex shops and crumbling buildings. Even with road works it was relatively easy to find the shopping area. Desk staff spoke english and were very helpful. Only 5 minutes to the pick up point for the On-Off bus. Rooms quite warm. Windows different to ours here in NZ which caused some confusion (I thought it was broken)!

The hotel is located near Gare du Nord train station around a 10 minute walk or you can take Tram line 4 to Rogier from Gare du Midi Eurostar which is quicker. Pros: Good location: Brussels-North Railway Station is only 10 min away. Place Rogier and Rue Neuve, the commercial district, are 5-10 min away. Nice rooms, newly renovated I think. Sounded ok as it was a Best Western. However I just felt it didn't live up to Best Western's normal level. It was reasonable close to a major restaurant area, if you walk in the right direction. Stayed at Best Western City Centre Hotel on an overnight trip to Brussels. Staff at check in was polite ,accommodating and could speak English. Room was comfortable, with the basic amenities provided. Hair dryer was also provided in the bathroom. Bathroom and toilet were separated. Could be a better one like the rest Best westerns....And the police signals bother you... That's it... Yet rooms are ok, and you may have a rest, and wifi is accessible, which is great.. Bad rooms are. Lean which is good
