Here for 3 nights, should have stayed 2. First superior room poor, stayed 1 hour, had to move when water started coming through the ceiling. Evening meals and breakfasts very low standard having been to very good Pousada in Guimaraes. Staff seemed to have been newly started and yet to be trained. View exceptional.

We spent two nights at the Viana do Costelo towards the end of May as part of a 3 week trip through Portugal. The hotel experience was absolutely wonderful and everything we hoped for. The pousadas of Portugal are by in large a real treat. This one definitely is. The staff is good, the location perfect for the view. They all seem to be slightly run down, in an almost charming way. I would stay in the pousadas in general, and specifically in this one, again.

This pousada has an unbelievable view of the Portuguese coastline. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Be sure to check out the ruins of the Iron Age village that found as you approach the entrance to the hotel.

I’ve been there during a work trip (2 days) and has a great view. Nice beds! Really quiet and refined. The staff is gentle very professional. I advise this hotel to have a good experience around Viana.

I had a room facing the Santa Luzia church, a true heaven. The service is absolutely a 5 stars, the beds are incredibly comfortable, the breakfast buffet is delicious, and the hotel facilities are well mantained.

Where do I start to praise this hotel? The view is MAGNIFICANT! The staff were PERFECT. The food was FIRST CLASS. I had absolutely NO complaints about anything in the hotel and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone wanting something special without breaking the bank.

Never stayed at the Hotel as we have a home nearby, but love to eat here each time we visit.
