Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The good things, friendly and helpful staff, clean room. The awful: We got a disabled room, not sure why, but it meant the bathroom was a wet room, so floor was always wet. The toilet was too high, the sink too low! The light came on automatically, but the timer was set for 4 seconds only, even when showering it kept going off and on. During the night it would go on with the extraction fan for no reason. We did complain and were told an engineer would correct it…..never did! The room and bed were very small, no storage at all, we had a kettle and cups, but no Coffee or Tea, no spoon but there was a knife! I don’t know how you would ever get a wheelchair up the three steps into the hotel, from the narrow street? The hotel was locked morning and early evening, it was only because another guest was there, we knew about the side gate entrance. Car parking, was a tatty, near derelict private garage across the street. WiFi was poor, kept going off!

I would stay again. Nice clean and the people are very helpful. A little remote from the downtown area but right around the corner from the area train. Small neighborhood shopping and cafe down the block. Good value. Worth the money, for sure.

Well located. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable. And very secure. Friendly and efficient service - the receptionist was helpful and patient. EXCELLENT value for money. And, best of all, I slept well - the black out shutters are a boon - and was refreshed and ready for a long day of sight seeing.

The location is great as its quiet, reasonably close to the Metro and not far from the CBD. The rooms are clean, tidy and have pleasant decor. The staff were extremely helpful. The young gentleman even went out of his way to find info on soccer matches for me! I really enjoyed our conversations. Room came with a nice breakfast buffet. I would definitely stay here again.

Because it is in town it is a bit tricky to find if you don't have a sat nav as its all one way systems. Convenient if on a shopping trip in Portugal or just checking out the town. All facilities worked and there was a buffet eating area for breakfast time which was ideal when having an adventure. Only spent about 3 hrs non sleeping time there

Friendly staff and simple but good room. Good breakfast. Room was extremely simple, some decoration wouldn't hurt. Top of the wardrobe was dusty. Timer of the heating system was wrong, and it took a while to set it right (no instruction manual). Heat was off when we arrived, and it takes a while for the room to get warm.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone staying in Porto. The location is good, it is near to the main attractions, and most important it is very near to Metro station. The rooms are very clean and have nice decor. My reservation did not include breakfast, but it was not a problem at all. I enjoyed very standard breakfast buffet at very cheap price. I was positively surprised with this hotel and would be happy to visit again!

The hotel is only a 5 minute walk to the metro and only 2 stops to the sights. The rooms are a bit on the small side and have thin walls. Breakfast is basic, cereals, bread, ham, cheese, fruit and yoghurt (no hot food). The balcony door on our room could not lock. A key for the room safe is 50 cents a day. You only get 1 log on for 1 device for wifi

The style of the room was very old. The toilet also. We went in Porto in march, and there was nobody around... It was like a gost city. Very dark! Fortunately we spent just one night in there... By the way, the price was cheap.

Location is away from attractions. 2-3 local restaurants within walking distance. Wifi only good in the lobby. Walls not soundproof so u can hear shower in the next room and as guests come in through the night. 24 hr concierge onsite and so u feel secure as lock the door at night and they let u in.
