We stayed at Baia Azul from 25th Sept till 9th October our second visit in 2 years. The hotel is a little dated and does need a bit of modernisation, but it is clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good. It is quite a walk into Funchal, but public transport is cheap and good. We will certainly return. More

We booked a week at the Baia Azul on the back of the reviews here, and they are in the main perfectly correct. The hotel provides all of the services you'd expect from a 4* hotel (laundry service, gym, squash courts and more) and the pool is lovely. We upgraded to a sea view room (about £26 for the week)...
