Not recommended if you do not have a vehicle. This rural accommodation is 20/15 mins by taxi from the railway station/centre of old Sintra town. We booked ourselves in to Quinta de Sao Thiago for three nights and we liked it so much we ended up staying six. If you want all the mod-cons then this is not the place for you. However if you are looking for accommodation that is full of history, beauty and friendly service then I can highly recommend this place.... More

Theresa and her family were very good hosts. The B&B is a lovely place - charming rooms, a great pool, and a fantastic view. Also, the price represents very good value. It isn't right in Sintra so be prepared to drive a bit back and forth (on narrow roads), but other than that it was a great experience.
