We were booked into this hotel but couldn't even get into the reception area .......... Over forty cobbled and steep steps from the parking area and no lift or elevator anywhere inside the hotel so my wife ( who has a walking difficulty ), simply couldn't access the hotel at all. Just arriving at this castle was an experience. The car park is at the bottom of the castle so you need to walk through an archway and up the castle steps to reach the Pousada (This would be a problem if you find steps difficult). We ate at the restaurant and despite the amazing view, the food was average at best. The fish was fine ( I imagine you have to leave Setubal if you're a chef who can't cook fish!) but the vegetable were awful...indelible in some cases.
