I stayed here for a night with my mum,she had previously stayed here with my dad and loved it! We couldn't only get a suite room at the more expensive price, the room was called 'Brazil'! The room it self was a bit disappointing,it had a small kitchen bit with two breakfast stools, rather than a usual suite with a sofa... More

We stayed here for three nights. My husband led a group of 20 people for a two week stay in Portugal. This fuest house was a favorite. JeanPaul and his staff are courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. The grounds are lovely and peaceful. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the center of the city and close enough to... More

We stayed here last July for four nights and we were very impressed with the accommodation. We stayed in the cafe room which was less fancy than most of the rooms on the website but it was comfortable and quiet. We had no balcony or view but for the last four days of our holiday and the ample outdoor space... More

We stayed as Casa Vela for two nights - accommodations were lovely and we enjoyed being away from the hubhub of the city center which was within walking distance. We felt welcomed immediately upon arrival and after a tour of the guest house, were given great recommendations for restaurants and things to see within walking distance. Would highly recommend Casa... More

We stayed 12 nights at this lovely place. The team was very very helpful and such kindly with our 1 year son, he was like a little prince. The breakfast is good with eggs or pastais do belem or homemade cake. The garden with the swimming pool area is relaxing. We were 5 nights in the Brasil Suite & 7... More

We stayed at Casa Vela while searching for hotels in Cascais area to sleep 1 night out (without children, just the 2 of us). Unexpectedly I found Casa Vela on a online booking website and immediately enjoyed the photos and the price, after doing a benchmarking of the area. It exceeded expectations by far! The cozy hosting, the wonderful decoration,... More

I stayed at Casa Vela during January unexpectedly, and although on my radar for some time, it certainly lived up to the expectations of others whose reviews I read. A particularly welcome reception, showing you to your room, the cozy lounge, the breakfast area. In January the garden, terrace, pool are not of use, but the overall impression is excellent.... More

Nice location, good breakfast, beautiful building and garden. The room was too much "designer" for us, though. No balcony and pretty small windows (we took the largest apartment). No table for dining and very inconvenient and poorly equiped kitchennette. May be great for a couple looking for a getaway in Cascais but questionable for family with kids

This beautiful guesthouse is unique and enchanting. We stayed for 10 days on honeymoon in October 2012 and the Casa Vela was just perfect - it certainly lived up to many of the reviews on trip advisor. Stunning boutique style rooms and a lovely guest lounge inside and beautifully manicured gardens and terraces outside - all absolutely pristine. Excellent continental... More

This guesthouse was perfect for our needs. It is in a residential areas of Cascais so at first glance it appeared a bit boring and out of the way, but the first impression was deceptive. Once inside we were greeted warmly and taken to our lovely boutique-style room overlooking the expansive, well-kept garden and pool area. The walk into Cascais... More
