I visited this wonderful property on Saturday 2nd December for two nights, with my Girlfriend, Mum and Aunty. We’ve stayed in Brugge numerous times over the past 5 years, and nothing even comes close to the level of service received by Dorine. We arrived earlier than expected on the Saturday, to be greeted by a very warm and friendly welcome. Dorine spent a good hour with us, explaining the area in detail and recommending a some interesting places to visit, many of which would be easy to miss if you weren’t in the know! Dorine was even kind enough to follow me 2 miles across town to the free car park, and drive me back. The rooms have all the qualities of the perfect B&B; they were spacious, very clean, comfortable, warm, and decorated individually. There was a lovely seating area on the first floor, with a comfy sofa, plus tea/coffee making facilities and a hi-fi. This was the ideal room for relaxing and chatting in after a day out in the city. The house itself was stunning, it had a lovely modern kitchen and dining room extension, which really complemented the original features of the older part of the house. Dorine’s breakfast is enough to set you up for the full day! Breakfast was varied enough to suit all tastes, and included fresh bread, all sorts of preserves, soft and hard cheeses, pastries, eggs (cooked to your liking), freshly squeezed fruit juice, coffee and a selection of teas. I’d recommend this property for to anybody looking for the ideal base to explore Brugge from. It’s located in a nice quiet street which is close enough to the main centre (10-15 minutes’ walk maximum), yet far enough away to have some peace and quiet. Dorine is a friendly, knowledgeable host who takes pride in providing excellent, personal customer service which you’re very unlikely to receive at a hotel. We’re now thinking of visiting Brugge again in the summer, and this time there’s no need to search again for somewhere to stay, as we’ve found the perfect spot.…
