Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just spent three nights at this amazing hotel. Had a second floor room which had fantastic views, despite not being right next to the canal. The all female service at the hotel was amazing, from the receptionists, the housekeeping staff, the wonderful service at breakfast to the proprietor. The reception area is a wonderful place to enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee, which we did on several occasions. Parking arrangements and directions to the hotel were very clear. The area around the hotel is busy during the day yet beautifully quiet at night. Overall we had extremely enjoyable trip staying in this very well maintained and beautiful hotel. We will return.

Hotel's Favourite
I cannot speak highly enough of this amazing hotel. The location is stunning, the hotel itself exquisite.. but what sets this place apart is the staff. I only intended to visit Bruges the once but after I stayed here in 2018 I now return to Bruges a couple of times a year just to enjoy this beautiful experience. The staff are the best I’ve ever met, anywhere at anytime. You can tell from the first greeting that you enjoying your stay is at the heart of what matters to them! Febrina is an absolute star and it was great to see Maroof and Isabel again. New staff members were also very helpful. There’s customer service then there’s above and beyond. The latter is what you get staying here. I truly feel it is a honour and a privilege to be a guest at Relais Bourgondische Cruyce. Working in a challenging and demanding job means that trips away make such a huge difference. Work life balance is incredibly important and my trips here always leave me feeling restored. As a Clinical Psychologist I often speak about the need to hold onto the important moments amidst the chaos and stress of life and some of my special and treasured moments have been here! I cannot wait to return, again and again! Thank you to all for a perfect stay

This is a delightful small hotel in a perfect and picturesque location. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful. Great breakfast. We had a canal-facing room and it was splendid. Great art - I particularly liked the Boteros. All of Brugge was just a short walk from here.

The hotel is truly exceptional in every way! Family owned, it is beautifully decorated with elegant fabrics and furniture and has a collection of museum quality art. The building is 16th c., built adjacent to one of the city's canals and boasts lovely views from the many leaded glass windows, a fire in the fireplace, and fresh flowers. The service was superb and personal, and the staff were extremely helpful with recommendations for restaurants and activities. We appreciated the many kindnesses and professionalism of Isabel and Febrina. Breakfast in the wonderful dining room was ample and delicious. Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce is one of the finest hotels we have stayed in.

Absolutely friendly atmosphere in a beautifully furnished, family-run historic building in a prime location in Bruges. Our room with the best view of the canal was very cosy, clean and well-kept. As was the breakfast room with fireplace, which is available to guests all day and where free coffee and tea is served. The very personal and accommodating service of the owner and staff is particularly noteworthy. We felt very comfortable at the Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce and would love to come back!

Beautiful hotel and location. The staff are fantastic. It would have been perfect if the hotel breakfast was included in the price and even better if they served dinner as the location is amazing. It would have also been nice to have our anniversary recognised. We loved our room and every item in the hotel was great quality!

My recent stay at this boutique hotel was nothing short of fantastic. The location is spot-on, putting you right in the center of everything. It's easy to explore the city, and there are great views to enjoy. The service is top-notch. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. From check-in to local tips, they made sure I felt at home. They take pride in making guests happy. The rooms are super clean and cozy. The attention to detail is impressive, and the decor is lovely. It's a great place to unwind after a day of exploring. Breakfast is 25 EUR per person, the breakfast may seem a tad indulgent, but trust me, it's worth every penny. The buffet spread is a symphony of flavors and options. From a delightful assortment of hard and soft cheese, and fresh fruit salad, Yogurt. The selection of cornflakes, smoked salmon, ham, jambon, dates, and dry apricots ensures that even the pickiest eaters will find a favorite. What sets this breakfast apart is the attention to detail. They cook eggs to order, ensuring that your morning scramble or omelet is as fresh as can be. And Don't miss the waffle Overall, this boutique hotel is a gem. Great location, stunning views, excellent service, and clean, comfortable rooms. If you want a hassle-free and enjoyable stay, this is the place to be. I'll be coming back!

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Beautiful views, comfortable clean cute room. The ladies on reception were very friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee is complimentary and brought to your room at any time. Yummy breakfast...eggs and bacon, great selection of cheeses, pastries, cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit. Nice strong coffee. The hotel was spotless and had lots of character. We would definitely stay again

The hotel location is unbeatable, offering easy access to top attractions. The service was outstanding; the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We stayed in room #10, where the main characters in the movie In Bruges stayed. The room was comfortable and beautifully designed, enhancing the overall experience. I highly recommend Hotel Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce for a memorable and luxurious stay in Bruges.
