My stay in Rembrandt Hotel is pleasant. Single rooms are tiny (just like how most European hotels are), but is perfectly adequate. Clean rooms with excellent water pressure in shower, peaceful and quiet hotel. Breakfast is extra charge, but since I didnt take that option, I cant comment. The hotel is located at walking distance from train station, near the... More

I often do intercontinental transit through Amsterdam and have found taking the 15 min train ride to Leiden and staying overnight there better than taking the 15 min train ride into Amsterdam. I just tried the Rembrandt and I think it will now be my preferred destination. I was in a single bed room that was very small, but very... More

- smelly corridors - the ventilation system in the room was on and off all night, which was quite annoying and noisy. I figured I could have taken the keycard out of its slot - hence cutting electricity - in which case the ventilation would have been off. yet, it is kind of annoying. - very very small (single) room.... Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Pros include: location close to train station (7 minute walk), in the city center, elevator up to 3rd floor rooms), nice cafe to sit and use free wifi (no pressure to order food or drink-just use your computer, read, etc), super nice staff (everybody I encountered), really good food in cafe, nice view... Nothing fancy, just good hotel. Everything works and is clean. And they don't ring you every five minutes if you are an hour late checking out. Bang in the city center too. Recommended. How do you fill the 200 characters when there's nothing wrong. Ehrm. No, can't do it. It's fine.

I went to Leiden for a belly dance festival. It was an amazing and exciting weekend! The hotel is small, safe and close to everything. Less than 5 minutes from the train station. The breakfast was delicious and even the restaurant food was really good. The staff was so helpful and patience with me and all my questions. They were always... More

Service and welcome at reception was exceptional and personal - very warm. But given the fact that we had booked one of the more expensive rooms it was a bit disappointing to get a room that was plain - a bit like a hostel room. Both furniture and decoration was basic - no problems but no thrills either. The hotel... More

We stayed there for 2 nights in August 2011. The hotel is very well located, in walking distance to centre and to the rail station. Room was clean but very small. Service is quite absent. Overall, it is a nice, but expensive and a bit pretentious. We had to leave one night earlier (originally booked for 3 nights), and despite... More

I have stayed in this hotel on two occasions and both have been very enjoyable. The hotel is reasonably priced especially considering the location. Rooms are modern, clean and quiet. Breakfast is delicious and the staff are very friendly. I would have scored the hotel as a 5, however I deducted one point as there were no tea/coffee making facilities... More

We spent three nights at the Rembrandt Hotel in Leiden with friends this year to see the tulip fields. Firstly, the staff were superb - very helpful and friendly. The rooms were just tired and the lamp was broken and bed uncomfortable. It is priced very fairly for a city centre hotel but nevertheless the basics should be good. We... More
