Excellent location 5 minutes' walk from Central Station and a beautiful (and quiet) canal street. Oddly funky decoration (deep purple and terracotta downstairs, lots of fringe), quite dark, which is perhaps not the best choice for cloudy Amsterdam, but rooms are fine size, bathrooms good. The staff and service at Sebastian's were exceptional. It had a very friendly atmosphere. Location was excellent, and a good breakfast was proved to get the day started. Heavy purple decor was interesting!

Hotel is in street with canal out front (well it is Amsterdam). Rooms are comfortable - coffee machine and free internet. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good value for money. Walking distance to Central Station was only 10 minutes and there were good restaurants bars and cafes nearby without having to go in to city centre
