We enjoyed our stay here. My daughter and I shared a room on the third floor of the main building. Our room was Thoreau theme and loved the touch of books in the room. Convenient to tram #1 stop. Check in staff friendly. Room and bath clean good value

lovely room and helpful staff.stayed for 3 nights in feb but on 2nd night noisey inconsiderate people shouting from midnight till 6am,and sat night french people shouting.when i go to someones country i respect the fact that everybody likes a good nights sleep.

It was snowing, Amsterdams fairytalelike canals were white and silent. So was the Vondelpark where hotel de Filosoof is located. They gave me the Erosroom, although alone it was lovely.
