The location is very good as there are many bars and cafes nearby as well as the main tram line to the station and Dam Square. The hotel itself is clean and checking in/out was very efficient. The rooms were much smaller than expected and the walls are thin so it can be hard to get a good nights sleep.... More

Despite the oh-so reviews, decided to stay at Acostar Hotel since I found out it was very close to Leidseplein. Check in was fine and I got a room on the first floor, adjacent to the reception room. Was quite large for one person and could have easily been fine for two and even for a child if a cot... More

My partner and I recently stayed at Acostar on the advice of people posting on trip advisor. We arrived at the hotel at approximately 8pm, checked in and paid for 3 nights of tourist tax, which somehow came to 19.95 euros, when we were told it is 8 euros per day. The next morning, on our way out, we were... More

We were a little bit concerned about staying here after we seen some bad reviews but i don't see any of the problems that people commented on, we stayed on the 3rd floor, our room was spacious and had a fantastic bathroom, towels were changed daily and the bed was made, i don't know why people complain about bed sheets... A few friends and myself were in Amsterdam for the weekend, we checked in fine at the hotel. However, when ever any of our party returned to the hotel they were stopped and told to pay more money by the ever changing reception staff. Key cards never worked. On the first night myself and my friend were fast asleep in... More

It was my first visit to Amsterdam, so it's hard to compare this to other places. I payed about 110Euro. The room looked nothing like that on the website. It was miniature. Impossible to even put my luggage in it. Fortunately it was just me, so I shared my bed with one of my luggage pieces. My room was right... More

We stayed for a long weekend in the Acostar hotel, which was a very nice experience. The purpose of our stay was visiting our family, but as the hotel's location is right in the center we had the possibility to enjoy the beauties of the city as well. I was 6 months pregnant and they were very nice, because they... More

The location of this hotel is really great. However, I really would not recommend it duento : Dirty rooms; linen and towels were old and full of holes; Windows let wind escape- and it was -5 degrees outside!; there is no lift, so we had to carry the suitcases for four floors (no help was offered by the staff); in... The hotel has a perfect location right in the heart of Amsterdam. We stayed in room 502 the penthouse suite. 5th floor, no elevator. The room was not really big as I was expecting. Nice bath tub, but the shower could be using some more power. Also the stone pavement in the bathroom was too cold to walk on... Would... More
