Had a good stay in late January 2013. The hostel is clean, newly renovated, and has a nice feel to it. Stayed in tiny 6 person room that barely fit all of our luggage. Were provided with fresh towels each day and the room had nice lockers to lock our stuff up in. The beds were comfy and the hostel... More

Stayed here for one night in April 2013. The reception was friendly, our luggage was locked in safely until our room was available. The dining area/ bar/ common room was colourful. Not cozy or inviting, mind, but not uncomfortable either. Hard benches and linoleum everywhere. Breakfast could be booked additionally. We didn't and were glad about later. As we past... More

Stayed here Monday to Friday and was very happy here. Snacks, hot and cold drinks available 24 hours. Great location with kebab shops, bars/pubs, coffee shops, supermarket and centre of town on your doorstep. Simple rooms, had an en suite room with shower. Was very cold one night but that was down to us not being able to use the... More

A very clean, convenient place. In between the train station and the heart of downtown. An easy going and helpful reception. Rooms even have a TV (though you need to pay 10 Euro guarantee for the remote :), but quite small. The only thing I really did not like is the heating system! The heating is arranged via the airco..... More

This is more like a basic hotel than a hostel. There's nowhere to cook your own food, which is a drawback if you're on a budget. Overall, it's excellent value for money though - clean, quiet rooms with regularly changed towels, free wifi and internet-linked computers downstairs and friendly staff. The location is excellent too - 15 minutes walk from... More

It's clean, very clean! Everything looks brand new and well maintained. But the name says: HOSTEL. What is a hostel? A place where: - self-catering is welcome - one can cook and socialize - use wifi everywhere - charge your laptop at different locations - you have a home away from home THIS "HOSTEL": - no kitchen (you can not... This is within walking distance of the main train station, the museums and the old section of town. Tram nearby. The decor is based on Modrian - kind of cool. The breakfast is okay - usual - eat early if you want an apple or orange. Not alot of plugins in the room. The bathroom is tiny - looks like they... More

Had to go to Groningen to check out the university. Quick father & son trip. Hostel was two minutes walk from the basement carpark of a city centre supermarket. Fresh, clean interior with welcoming staff and nice decor. Also it is connected to a popular hotel so these things made me more comfortable than some stereotype image grubby dump the... More

Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting family, in the new block opened several days ago. Room for 4 people - 2 bunkbeds with ensuite. Although small, room is very clean, comfortably furnished, quiet. Reasonable sized lockers (1 each) per bed, airconditioning, flat screen tv. Able to check internet, lounge + bar downstairs. All in all, very good value for money... More

I recently came back from an excellent weekend in Groningen with a large mixed group of 14 people. This 'hostel' was booked because they had large rooms that slept 10, which was ideal. I wasn't that keen on the idea, but this place was just great - free internet access in reception, fresh coffee and beer/wine and an apparently good... More
