In this expensive city it was nice to find this hotel well located, near to the Old City in the corner of a main street with tram, supermarket, stores coffeeshops and restaurants. Calvy is an older hotel. Near to the 2 main shopping streets in Geneva and the public transport. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and tidy but dated. Breakfast was a good continental and included in the overall price. Would stay here again.

Stayed for one night as part of a business trip. Hotel was fine just to sleep in but I'm glad I wasn't staying longer or paying for it myself! We stayed overnight for one night. The hotel was quite a bit out from the centre of town and not that easy to find way back in. Found it very `muggy' overnight. Decor and facilities and breakfast all a bit basic, but perfectly OK for an overnight stay.....just wouldn't have wanted to be there for a holiday.

The hotel is reasonably priced, very close to the tram line and in a nice quiet location. The rooms are basic but well appointed. The breakfast was inclusive and plentiful. staff were friendly. I would stay again next time I am in Geneva.

Geneva doesn't "do" affordability, on the whole. But the Hotel Calvy does! The rooms are much better than average, but they are not luxurious (for that you pay an extra 600 Swiss Francs per night at other places). Very simple but well-kept hotel, close to excellent transportation ( tram very close, bus a short block away, takes you directly to the train station and the airport ), with a 15 minute brisk walk to the old city ( cathedral etc. ). Hotel Calvy is in a not-too-central part of town, but there is a tram stop almost at the door. There are a few good restaurants in the area.
