Nice small hotel in the old town. We had Suite 256, one of two in the hotel, large bedroom and sitting room strangely with an exercise bicycle but no second TV. Did not matter, as no English stations..a downer but the free wi-fi is great and a nice continental brekkie included. Parking about 100 yards away advertised at 8 euro... More

We had a corner room, over the front entrance -- which was beautiful. The room was small but very nice. The breakfast was fine. Service was very good. They stored our bikes for us in their garden, and were very accommodating. And the price was good.

We stayed at Hotel Gattapone for three nights and did not want to leave. The situation was ideal for us with lovely views over the town and rooftops to the distant hills. The staff here couldn't have been more friendly, helpful, and co-operative. The big parking lot downtown had the mercato in it so they guided us up to park right next to the entrance. It's a great central location and Gubbio is una bella citta'. A delicious meal can be found at Il Picchio Verde at a very reasonable price.

The hotel itself probably is at best a 3 star, but the city is at least a 4 star. Getting to the hotel is a bit of a challange by vehicle. The city streets are very narrow and a maze. There are lots of one way streets and not marked very clearly. Overnight parking is best in the city center... More

From the very first moment when we checked-in we felt a genuinely friendly atmosphere and above all very attentive people.
