Charming little hotel on the outskirts of the old town. Nice rooms, clean and spacious. Great service and happy to give little tips on getting to and from old town and where to eat. Good breakfast which was included in room price, nice garden to have breakfast outside. Would stay there again. More

I stayed in Villa Betania for 2 nights in April-2011, the hotel is simple (ex. no elevator), however, it is very charming! Everything was very clean and organized, the front yard was beautiful, the architecture of the building is very interesting and the staff was very helpful. The location is not an issue, you can reach the "Porta Romana" (historic... More

The Villa Betania offers comfortable, clean rooms with nice bathrooms in a lovely setting. The hotel is located away from city center and after spending the day in bustling Florence it's a haven of peace and tranquility. We booked an online special offer on the hotel website that included breakfast for a very reasonable price and were very pleased that... More

This is a nice hotel with nice rooms and I would recommend it to anyone as long as you don't want to be closer to florence. When we go back to florence in the future we will not be staying at the hotel villa betania. We got a little tired of dealing with the buses and the taxis. For us... More

This was my second favorite hotel we stayed in, in Italy. I can't say enough lovely things about the front desk staff! They were helpful in all our questions and when we arrived with no luggage (our airlines lost our bags) the very polite and helpful staff made phone calls on our behalf to the airlines to try and track... We were there for only two days and nights, but it was a perfect "home base" for us. The receptionists there all spoke English. One gentleman there in the evenings was actually from Iowa, an ex-pat living in Florence. The breakfasts were very good, many choices and we took the opportunity of eating outside at the little tables in the... More

We have just returned from a long weekend in Florence and stayed at the Hotel Villa Betania. As others have mentioned, this hotel is about a 30 minute walk from the centre of town, although buses are regular and leave a few metres from the entrance arch. Taking a taxi from the Santa Maria Novella train station to the hotel... More

This was the 3rd hotel that I and a friend stayed at on our trip to Italy. Judging by the houses around it, it's a villa turned hotel in a pretty swanky area. The hotel itself has beautiful grounds and very nice rooms with modern updates (coded safe, electronic keys that you just waved to get in the rooms). The... More

Beautiful hotel. Spacious and very clean. The only thing is, it's a little bit away from the city center. We didn't walk to the city center instead we took taxis. If you don't mind paying for taxis, then I would highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely go back. More

We stayed for 2 nights at the Hotel Villa Betania and were pleased with our stay. It should be known that it is UPHILL from the downtown area and it's a LONG hill so we definitely got our exercise. Also, the walls seem to be paper thin and we had very loud tourists next door to us. The breakfast was... More
