In April, I spent my first night at Villa Cancelli. The biggest problem I had was finding the place in the morning and at night. I got lost twice, once with a car and once on foot. even my GPS in the car kept taking me to different locations. The nuns were nice, but since they couldn't understand much of... More

We have stayed for 1 night at the villa with the nuns and paid 80 euro incl breakfast for 2 p. It was a nice experience with the 3 nuns who can't speak a word of english. The locatio in very nice only 10 min from firenze. Only 50 euro would be more acceptable!

My husband and I stayed for two nights here in June and it was heaven on earth. After busy days touring Florence, the Villa was a joy to come back to. The nuns who speak no English could not have been kinder. It was very clean, the room was very nice and the grounds of this villa are truly lovely.... More

My wife & I stayed in Villa I Cancelli fro 5 nights. Driving in from Pisa was a bit tricky on the narrow roads with walls either side. I thought they were comfortable one way traffic until I met a car coming in the opposite direction. As mentioned the Sisters don't speak a lot of English but were very accommodating... More

Stayed for three days in this beautiful villa run by the sisters of the orseline order. From the moment I arrived, to the day that I departed the sisters were sweet and very helpful. They do not speak much English so it pays to have an Italian dictionary. The views from your room are magnificent of nearby villas and the... More

Villa I Cancelli is a beautiful 11th century structure that now houses the convent of the Ursuline Sisters. We requested for three single rooms with bathrooms attached. The rooms led ontoa sort of little garden & were squeaky-clean. The breakfast was basic, but filling & the nuns really friendly & helpful. The Villa is located at a considerable distance from... Three friends and I stayed in two double rooms that were connected here in 2004. Definetly take a taxi your first time there! The buses are tricky so our first day there a nun actually drove us to a major bus stop! They were so sweet though we had no idea what they were saying! One nun spoke a bit... More

I stayed here with my family. We had a two bedroom suite. It was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and modern. The location is gorgeous. The views are spectacular. It is five minutes from the city of Florence. It is tricky to find so take a taxi the first time you go there. The sisters were... More

Recently my partner and I travelled from Australia to London,Paris,Florence and Rome staying in a variety of accommodation. We found the Villa in Florence to be the most welcoming even though the only language spoken is Italian and we only speak english.the we thoroughly enjoyed the meals we had, home cooked and delicious and the wine was enjoyable as well.Nothing... A relative and I stayed for a short time this past March at the Villa i Cancelli. The convent is surrounded by lovely gardens and is in the hills a few minutes from downtown Florence. (Buses or taxis take one easily into the city.) Our accommodations were a suite in a separate guest house comprising two huge rooms and a... More
