On a recent trip to Florence we spent part of the time at a hotel in the city and part of the time here. What a way to relax! Strolling along the Arno, spending time in the spa, and eating at the fabulous restaurant--we didn't even have to leave the hotel grounds! We felt a million miles away from the... More

This post should have been done close to a year ago now, but here it is! We traveled to Florence the beginning of April 2011 after spending 2 days in Rome (where we got engaged!). We were first timers to Italy and when we arrived at Hotel di Firenze we were pleasantly surprised. This hotel is truly beautiful and is... More

Wow - what a pleasant surprise this hotel was. It is an old mill that has been converted (very tastefully I might add) to a hotel that rests besides a lovely river with quietly streaming water flowing through. Just gorgeous.. In summary the service through the hotel was very good. Aldo in the hotel restaurant was exceptional in his friendly... More

It seems each winter vacation my husband and I decide on beautiful Italy as our destination. Last year we chose Sicily (lovely!) and topped it off with some days spent in Rome. This winter we chose to visit Florence, Assisi and then Rome. When choosing any hotel, I do a thorough search and the Mulino Di Firenze just sounded so... More

We stayed here two nights and it was the highlight of our Italy trip. Located on a river, our room had wonderful views. The restaurant was amazing as well serving the most ridiculous breakfast buffet I have ever seen every morning included in the price of our stay. It is located outside of the city center and the public transportation... More

This is my 2nd attempt to review this hotel. I was told by the hotel manager than my first review was far too negative and he did not like my (negative?) use of CAPS, so out of fairness I deleted it and am trying over. I will start with the positives, and I will only use CAPS for positive remarks... More

Dear Sir, First of all it's the first time I saw a review appear, then disappear and then appear again worse than the first time. I had replied already to your first review and I have replied to you directly on your e-mail in order to explain my point of view and my impression. In our private exchange I have... More

Of all the places we stayed during our trip to Italy, this was our favorite. The staff was friendly, helpful and spoke perfect English. Our room was spacious and overlooked the courtyard. To my surprise the basic room even has a Jacuzzi Tub! The breakfast that is included was wonderful and dinner was well worth it. We ate dinner there... More

We had the privilege of staying at Mulino di Firenze in October 2011 as part of our honeymoon. We loved loved LOVED the location. <sigh> Just a short 10 minute shuttle drive away from the heart of Florence. It was the perfect oasis from a busy day. Our hotel room had a wonderful view of the Arno River and the... More

We loved our stay at the Mulino di Fireze while we were in Florence in August. It was a little difficult to find at first, but once we got there, it was the perfect place for us. The free shuttle service they offer to the city centre was very convenient and timely. Also, the on-site restaurant was fabulous! Our room... More

Our stay a Mulino Di Firenze was disappointing, to say the least. When we were checking in the front desk was confused about our arrival data. They believed we were early by one day early, however I had emailed the hotel before we left to confirm. After a brief discussion the confusion was cleared up. The hotel itself is very... More

Dear Matthew M., thank you for taking the time to post your comment on Tripadvor. I am sincerely sorry for the inconvenience you encountered at the check out time and have not enough words to express my apologies . Please be informed, Ian Smith, the night concierge, felt terribly sorry for his action, his behaviour was unforgivably thoughtless. New standard... More
