The neighborhood, which seems like it should be nice based on the vicinity to te cathedral is shockingly dirty and noisy. The apartment however was very nice and large. But make sure you have everything you need before you take the keys because it's hard to get a hold of the host again, even for toilet paper, and no one... More

In a rather typical part of the old town, close to the cathedral, palazzo dei Normanni and Ballaro market. Big spaces, no elevator, kitchenette where one can prepare one's own breakfast or other meals, in a neighbourhood made up of a few ruins, some unrestored and an increasing number of restored buildings. Neighbours can be noisy until late at night,... More

I booked casa orioles because the comments on booking com. were "favulous" I think if you really want to give your oppinion so other persons can trust , you have to be really impartial. In fact, the owner was very polite and nice, but the B &B was not the favolous I would have expected.. First of all it is... More

We were first attracted to Casa Orioles because of the size of the rooms and the competitive price. We only intended to stay one night before moving on to other pastures but after arriving at Orioles decided to book another 2 nights immediately! This place reminded me of a Moroccan Riad. It's beautiful, full of antique furniture and more than... More

Seriously... don't forget to stock up on earplugs or noise-cancelling headphones if you plan to stay here. Having said that, the advantages of being right in the middle of one of the liveliest and most characteristic neighborhood in Palermo are countless. Plus, the B&B is impeccably, very tastefully furnished and has excellent price/quality ratio; the owners are extremely friendly and... More

Having returned from a three week tour of Europe this was the only place to which we would never return! On arrival at the apartment we discovered that instead of two bedrooms my sister , my husband and I were expected to sleep all in the same room with the one double bed as per picture and a single fold-down... This hotel is located in a popular district of Palermo, surrounded by rubbish and very noisy neighbours. Actually the noise was such that I am wondering if people in this city are actually sleeping at all; the fact is that we didn't. Double glazing could be a good investment for this hotel. There is air conditioning, which works, but makes... More

We had a very big appartement for we two, with two big rooms, a living room with a small kitchen and a big bathroom. Yes, we were on the top of the building, so we had to use the stairs, because there is no lift. But it was not a problem. The only problem is the noise on the street,... More

The B & B is a very huge apt with a living rm, a big bedroom, bathroom and kitchen with all you need to cook. Very convenient especially after a 4 days trip in Roma where we dined out everyday. And the owner is very helpful. We didn't arrive on the time mentioned in email as the flight delayed in... More

We stayed here for one night before an early flight to milan. This is a bed and breakfast but really it is a self catering apt with some milk, coffee, tea juice and toast in the kitchen. However if this sounds ordinary it really isn't, it is one of the least ordinary places I have stayed. Once you have eventually... More
