With a group of 8 friends we have just finished a 3 night stay where we found a truly hospitable and helpful service in all departments of this hotel, besides enjoying the comfortable room accomodartion and the incomparible scenic b'fast room with the panoramic view of Alghero. Certainly highly recommmendable.

We had two nights at the hotel Catalunya as part of a tour of Sardinia. Our room looked clean, but it smelled of sewage. Dreadfully! The smell was not always present, but that made things. worse since we never knew what we would meet when we opened our door. Only those people with no sense of smell should stay here.

The sky bar was recommended to us for drinks with a view. We did not stay in the hotel. We hopped in the lift and hopped out on the ninth floor. Dropped in at the hotel in off season. Location is pretty good, but it is not withing the walled heart of the old town (this and the marina are just a short walk away). We were told parking was included in the price but that none was available. The staff were disinterested and shouldn't be working in the servcie sector.... More

Unfortunately, of our 3 week stay in Corsica and Sardinia, this was our worst and only bad experience at a hotel. The staff appeared totally disinterested. They were not helpful and we appeared to be a bother to them. Just all round bad. It's disappointing as things had been going so well....but there is always a bad apple!!

Had a 3 night stay, very good. Rooms a good size, spotlessly clean. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Continental breakfast, plentiful and good quality. Situated just a short walk from the marina and old town.

The best feature of the hotel has to be the location as it is only a few minutes walk from the harbour and the old town. The hotel itself is a little dated.
