This unpretentious hotel in the centre of the city (less than a minute's walk from Piazza Bra and the Arena) offers reasonably priced, simple rooms. The staff are excellent, particularly the proprietress, who gave us great advice about the city, in particular where we could eat well and inexpensively. I spent 2 nights in Verona, and stayed at Hotel Torcolo. The location is fantastic - 2 minutes walk to the Arena, and only an 8 euro taxi ride from the train station. The rooms are basic but clean, and comfortable. The staff were friendly, spoke great English, and were happy to recommend restaurants. The breakfast was nice. More
