pros; Owner was very kind, location was good, room was clean and simple. cons; Breakfast was very insufficent. I remember just some biscuits and tea. There was a dog living in the property. (Actually it was an apartment with 4 rooms and owners and dog were living in one room) Corner room was very cold. The bathroom was shared so,... More

I visited Venice for the first time to check out the Film Festival. The B&B San Paolo was a great find, in a good location surrounded by locals and away from the hustle of San Marco and Rialto, yet only a 10 minute walk to Rialto (after you get lost the first time). And a 5 minute walk to Grand... More

Immigration would not let my wife board the aircraft because her tourist visa only had 3 weeks until expiration. I called Expedia to cancel our reservations at San Paolo, but only with 4 days notice. Most hotels will only charge 1 day rate for late cancellation. But this hotel will charge you for the entire length of your reservation. When... More

I spent 2 nights there. Room & bathroom were clean. Shared bath with 2 other couples didn't cause much inconvenience. The shower box was too tiny even for my small frame though they were going to install one that's a little bigger. Breakfast was full of sugar & carbs (wheat bread, cookies, juice), not the kind of breakfast that's considered... More

San Paolo is truly the best choice for Venice. My husband and I cannot say one negative thing about this place. The location is great - only minutes from the Rialto Bridge - but still away from the noise of the busy streets of Venice. Our room was large, uniquely decorated, and very... Venice like. We were served a delicious... More

I just came back from a very nice stay in B&B San Paolo. Allan and Laura are really amazing hosts. It was 5 minutes walk from the vaporetto stop, though it's located in residensial area, very easy to find cafes and restaurants nearby, even a big co-op supermarket. My single room was very spacious, and nice decor, made you feel... More

Clean, quiet, affordable -- a bargain in a city where bargains are rare! The B&B is in an apartment building in a residential area, but it's still just a brisk 10-minute stroll to the airport water shuttle in one direction or the nearest vaporetto stop in the other. Allan and Laura are charming hosts who will give you directions, suggest... More

A great bed and breakfast that we highly recommend. It is a great value for your money in Venice. There are three private rooms and 1 shared bathroom but we never even ran into anyone else that was staying there. The rooms are big, clean and nicely decorated with table and chairs to eat breakfast at. The breakfast they serve... More
