We received a free upgrade to a nice room, they had very Helpful reception staff, one blonde lady in particular who's English is brilliant, the bathroom may be shared but hardly a soul seen, i never had to wait for anyone using it. I went there for carnival and was pleasantly surprised. Nothing extraordinary, but definitely enough for a good night's sleep: the mattress was comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean, the night wasn't noisy and the heater kept the room at a comfortable temperature. We had a pleasant surprise when we arrived at this hostel. Our room was so large that it was divided into two! We basically had our own rooms. Bed linen was provided.
