3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 June 2013 NEW

We stayed here for 2 nights in room 204 in May whilst touring round by train and found it a short walk from the station, close to the bus station and right next to a waterbus stop. There is no lift and lots of stone steps, but there is a very slow luggage lift. Our room was basically furnished and... More

We stayed here for several nights in April of 2012. It was easy to walk to from the train station and easy to find. There is a tiny elevator, just big enough to send one person up with all the luggage and then race up the stairs to meet them. The rooms are very spacious for European standards. There were... More

We stayed for 1 night pre cruise. Hotel is basic, the room was compact but clean and fresh smelling with crisp sheets. Furnishings looked relatively new. Close to Piazzale Roma (express shuttle bus from airport €6) and people mover to cruise terminal (€1) About a 30-40 minute walk to St Marks Sq or Rialto. Good value for Venice.

Stayed here in May for 2 nights. Short walk from bus stop and very close to vaporeto stop. Room was en suite number 104. High ceiling but we could hear the conversation for the room above. Breakfast was continental and the staff friendly. We paid room tax at check out rather than at check in. No tea making facilities in... More

We stayed in Casa Sant' Andrea for two night while exploring Venice. The location is great being just near the train/bus stations and parking garage. Our room was comfortable. We had one with a shared bath and that was not a problem. The breakfast was basic, but good. The view of the canal was nice, but was a bit noisy... More

In all fairness this is a good place to stay while in Venice. The waterbus stops are close by and the train station is 500m away. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is very basic though and could do with a simple selection of fresh fruit.

This was a good hotel, though there was not much decoration or ambiance in the hotel. The staff was helpful, but not overly friendly. The breakfast was great. One thing to note was that the walls were very thin and you could hear other people coughing in another room. The location is okay. It's a very long walk to most... More

We found this place to be basic but everything we needed. Our days were full wandering the beautiful city of Venice so a comfortable bed, basic breakfast, clean room with fantastic service was provided at this recommended hotel. It was a short walk from train station, had a boat station just out the door but was still only 20- 30... More

The hotel room we had was small, comfortable bed, clean with en-suite. The breakfast was basic, unappealing but sufficient. The hotel was once a monastery so rooms have high ceilings and you can hear people in next room. The hotel is fine for a few days. There is no TV in room and you have to ask for a hairdryer.... More

A good place to be within walking distance of everything, esp the 'water bus'. Not expensive, no frills like fridge, mini bar or hair dryer. Keeps the costs reasonable, although double the price over Easter seemed excessive to me. As for other reviewers, yes there are some staircases to climb to the room but if you can handle walking around... More
