Unfortunately, we asked friends who had recently returned from Venice and they raved about this hotel. Based upon their recommendation we stayed here. Bad idea. A relatively standard three to four star hotel, pleasantly enough run with adequate rooms. Breakfast is an unspectacular buffet over the Canal near the Ponte Greci. The location is far enough away from St Mark's square to make it central but not too bustly. Still quite noisy though. Beds and bedding for the robust.

Our room was 108 directly behind reception and noisy all night .We shut the windows ,had ear plugs but did not get one complete nights sleep due to noise ,shouting outside or from reception too . Just got back from a 10 day family trip to Italy (Rome, Florence & Venice). The Venice hotel was our one and only disappointment.
