Excellent hotel with helpful pleasant staff. Its location is only 5 min from san Marco square. Everything else is pretty much 30min pleasant walk through the tight streets of Venice. Once you are oriented with the area (and be patient as it can be frustrating) your stay will just get better. This hotel is just what you need.

This is a great little hotel in a perfect location. Stayed for 2 nights and cant fault it. Highly recommended and good value (for venice!) breakfast really good too and served until quite late so no need for an early start. Would stay here again.

We are on the start of our 5 week european tour and have had 2 nights at Ala. We arrived to giglio via water taxi (?60 although he took ?50 as he had no change.) Ala is a fantastic place for the price. Be sure to book a room that backs onto the little canal and bridge. Really quite special.... More
