The palace hotel is very central in como offering only a short walk to the funicular up the mountain, the river cruises, a McDonalds, Expert (electronics store) and the main square is only 100 meters away. Literally metres from everything in Como. Conveniently located within walking distance of most of Como, the Duomo and shopping village/town centre. Many restaurants within walking distance. Neat, tidy rooms and friendly and helpful staff.

The Palace Hotel is perfectly located in Como and convenient to just about everything while facing the lake. The ferry boats are just meters down from the hotel with a local commuter train one block away. Stayed here with my then girlfriend, now wife. Waterfront, near ferries, plaza, duomo, and sociale restaurant ( which is a must). Rooms are nothing special, bed was a tad hard, but you cant beat the location. Pricey, but worth it. We will be back

The location of this hotel warrants the price they charge. So the real value is in their service and friendliness. The rooms are somewhat tight, but that can be expected in an older hotel adding a king bed. Great value. We will definitely go back.
