It is more a 3 star than 2 star hotel. but it is too expehensive for what you get. However, for being in genova, probably is reasonably priced. Rooms are spacious and clean, there is a fridge in every room, phone and tv. free wireless internet is a plus. bathrooms are modern and clean. breakfast basic and at extra charge.... More

We were very relieved to find the hotel so central, on one of the main roads, handy for all the good shops, but the double glazing must be good as we never heard the traffic. All the staff we found helpful some especially so. The rooms we saw were large and very clean, sheets changed every other day. All in all... More

We stayed one night and would have gone back to a Best Western, but there was a big meeting in town and all the big names were booked solid. Hotel Soana was all we could find, but we felt we had a very nice room with great service for a lot less than Best Western. The hotel is on the... More

Nothing fancy apart from the wonderfuk old fashioned lift, but friendly service and clean basic rooms. Still €70 euro a night, but Italy is an expensive place. More

Here is a surprise. A good one, once in a while! I was here for work, a two day mission, and I was booked by colleagues in this little hotel-albergo. The hotel is in the heart of the city, and it is quite handy for those who have meetings downtown. The two stars at the door made me shake; two... More

Good: Pretty good value, decently renovated rooms. Minibar prices were like a convienence store, so we actually used it. They also have a 1am-7am quiet time where nobody comes in and out, so you're going to get a decent night sleep. The hotel is still under renovation, but is probably better than its 2* rating. A couple of the staff... More

The hotel was in downtown on the main street. Our room faced the main street and the noise was very loud from the traffic. The room was very small. The room was clean but the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Construction was taking place and the noise woke us up at 5:00. The staff was helpful but could not... More

The hotel is difficult to find. While the front of the hotel is on a major street, there is only one access road to it which is around and above the backside of the hotel. But once you get there, the staff is very accommodating. I enjoyed traveling up and down the classic birdcage elevator to the hotel that occupies... More

The location could not have been better for exploring Genoa - a stone's throw from the main square, a short walk to the medieval centre, and not too far to walk to the port and to the Renaissance palaces. The hotel is at fourth floor level, and is well run and very clean. The rooms had been modernised, but there was... More

Very nice big room, with ceilings 4 meters high for me and my 2 friends. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom. The staff are very helpfull and the hotel is situated in the old centre. I can recommend the breakfast for 7 euro. We paid 80 euro for a bedroom with 3 single beds. The room had a small balcony overlooking... More
