This hotel is very small. I find it at a very confortable place in Rome: 20 min by walking to Vatican, 2-5 min. to closest metro station "Lepanto". When leaving you have to pay 2 EUR per day for kind of voluntary city fee. Smokers are alowed to smoke only outdoors, there is one ashtry per hotel :). Breakfast included... More

It was the 8th time that our group of friends (this year 39 persons) spent Epiphany time in Rome staying at Casa Valdese, Via Alessandro Farnese 18 (Prati). We enjoyed the rich breakfast and the good dinner (19.30 o'clock) every day. And the staff is so friendly. We've really enjoyed our stay.

We travel a lot, after long search we found this lovely hotel. Its colse to Saint Peter, 5 minutes walk, in an excellent position to visit the city center and very close to the metro station(lepanto). The receptionist were very kind and helpful, they speak english, german and french. Neat and clean.

The rooms in the main hotel are fine--basic, but fine. But anyone interested in--or placed in--the (admittedly inexpensive) "external rooms" should know that they are dramatically different from the main hotel rooms shown on the web. Stayed one night in July and thougt the stay very pleasent. We had a comftable triple with a private large balcony to sit on in the shade spying on the quiet neighburhod below. this is a very economical hotel in a great location within walking distance to the Vatican and many of the central city sites. The metro is nearby for other areas. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful as to tourist info etc, they also sell metro tickets. The area is also quiet during the night.... More
