This was my first trip to Rome. Although Sistine B&B was a bit far from the major tourist sites, it was close to a subway stop that provided cheap and efficient transportation to any other part of the city. There were many shops and restaurants a short walk from the B&B. Francesca arranged transportation from the cruise ship port to... More

My wife and I spent 7 nights here. Francesca organized a private taxi for us @ 55 euros. We arrived in 45 minutes despite Rome's traffic. Irene the housekeeper fed us abundantly every morning with croissants, eggs, coffee, fruit etc.,..10 minutes on foot from the Vatican. Two street corners from the Metro. Dozens of small family run restaurants in walking... More

I read a lot of fabulous reviews on trip advisor and booked the Sistine b&b but our stay was just about average. The place is good value for money given that we were travelling in the peak season. However, the air conditioner doesn't work well at all and the room was really hot. I didn't sleep very comfortably as a... More

It is all you could expect , the rooms are very nice , traveling solo , they are very comfortable and more than enough for two people . If travelling in a group you could book the entire place , though there is no common area to meet other guests , the wireless Internet connection no problem. In June I... More

Stayed at Sistine B and B for 4 days in Rome. Excellent location within walking distances of most attractions. Small B and B with only 4 rooms. Room and bathroom very clean and size good. At night very quiet for city location! Manager Irene serves a good breakfast to your room and is very helpful. Local shop under B and... More

Location was great about 15 min walk from the Vatican. There are only 3 rooms. Ours was clean and comfortable. Our breakfast was brought to our room by Irene who was charming and helpful.

We visited Rome during Holy Week in April 2012. This place proved to be an excellent choice and was about 15 mins walk to St. Peter's Square and the Vatican Museum. An easy journey from FCO airport on the SIT bus shuttle to Piazza Cavour and a 15 min walk to the B&B. Francesca turned up on the back of... More

This is a late review!! I stayed here on JANUARY 2009! Arrived at night, so it took me a while to find the right street but the italians are a friendly lot and I was guided with some english and italian. Once there, i rang the bell and was directed to the designated floor. i was greeted by a lovely... More

We found the B & B very easily, but there was no-one there to meet us. However, we rang the number on the doorbell & a man was there in 10 minutes. Irene was on duty each morning & was very friendly. She brought our fantastic breakfast trolly at the time requested, & you would have to be very hungry... More

Having read the reviews on here prior to making our booking, I was very much looking forward to staying at The Sistine B&B and visiting the many sites and attractions Rome has to offer. Now I am back home I feel I should share with you some of our experiences during our stay at the Sistine B&B, as although most... More
