A very nice hotel, clean and quite rooms, breakfast is ok, avaliable 24/7, the owner of the hotel and staff are polite and very attentive. They made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. For sure the next time in Rome we stay in the same place. More

I booked on internet and the photos dont match exactly with what I finally found. We were firts referred to a very old building (Via Nazionale), and althought it used to be a "palace", it´s really old and in it doesnt look so well inside. Once in there we were offered a room with a private bathroom "outside" the room,... More

Instead of putting us in the hotel as promised over the internet and phone, they put us into an apartment a block and a half away, saying we'd be moved to the hotel the next day. That would have been ok, except the floors hadn't been cleaned and were pretty disgusting. Plus, there was no internet, no lobby, phone, or... More

I was with my Girlfriend at the Matisse B&B in Rome. Roberto was very friendly and helped us where he could. He gave us a City Map and described the sightseeing in detail. Our room was gorgeus. It was the anniversary of me and my girlfriend so it was a very romantic, clean, quite ( double glazed windows ) ,warm and nice decorated... More

More

The owner is arrogant and rude, apparently hates Americans. Told us that we're late (at 3 pm!) for check in, and he has only 1 room left at this location with a "private" bathroom but not in the room. He offered a taxi ride to another "hotel" which didn't have locked entrance door, had graffiti on the walls and no... More

We have recently returned from Korea and stayed at both the Matisse B&B and Apartments on visits to Rome. Roberto and Tonino are extraordinarily helpful hosts and gave us good advice on restaurants and bookings for the different sites. The rooms in both locations are more than adequate and the space in the apartment is particularly nice and 'homey'. The... More

We were really surprised that for a low price we got a really nice room. Even it's in the heart of Rome, near via Nazionale and Termini station while we were sleeping we didn't hear any noise from the street. I was really glad to find a computer there and to have a possibility to use it for free. Enough... More
