Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Loved staying here. Rooms are cosy, but what really made the stay were the staff. Very attentive and helpful. They made our night here just perfect. Close to the central sights and bars and cafes. We didn’t have food here so can’t comment. Enjoyed our stay. Thank you for all your help

We enjoyed this hotel for two nights whilst site seeing. its a great location for visiting the colosseum. Nice large clean rooms and the cocktails in the foyer were very tasty. Just down the road was a restaurant called Trattoria Luzzi which we came across. it had a queue so we decided to join it and it was a good find.

I stayed at the Capo d'Africa twice on my recent trip to Italy. The positive Tripadvisor reviews and hotel website are accurate regarding such key factors as comfort, cleanliness, security, and amenities. Excellent, friendly customer service (shout out to Luisiana at the front desk!). Location: The hotel is located on a quiet street in a residential neighborhood about 1/4 mile from the Colosseum and Forum. You can see the Colosseum from the roof of the hotel and from the streets around the hotel. Restaurants/Shops: There are several mid-range restaurants, trattoria, and coffee bars within a 1-2 block radius of the hotel. A 24-hour Carrefour Express market is nearby (on the way to the Colosseum, as it happens). History: If you are interested in early Christian or early Medieval history, San Clemente (initially a house church dating to the 300s with a crypt and Mithraeum, one of the oldest parishes in Christendom) and Quattro Coronati (a rare fort-church dating to the 800s) are located within just 100s of feet of the hotel. They are open to the public but not at all tourist-y (free admission) and worth checking out.

The hotel is well located, few blocks from the Colosseum and transports (bus, metro and taxis) are easily accessible. The room was a bit small but enough for the two of us, however we were located on the same floor as the reception (few meters from it actually) and it could get a bit noisy at certain times. I would guess that it is not the same if you are on the upper floor. If you are into training during your stay, the fitness area is very good, it has all you need to keep in shape. We've also tried the breakfast twice, it has a lot of choice. All in all nice place.

We had a fantastic stay at Capo D’Africa hotel. Very comfortable bed, spacious room and great breakfast. Staff were friendly and made sure we fully enjoyed our long weekend in Rome. We arrived on my birthday and staff surprised me with a bottle of Prosecco and a happy birthday note in the room - such a lovely touch. Location is amazing, quiet neighbourhood surrounded by authentic Italian restaurants and coffee bars yet a few steps from the Colosseum and foro itálico . Highly recommended. We will definitely return in the summer

My family and I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. It’s located about 5 minutes from the Coliseum and about ten to the Metro Line B. There are many restaurants close by the hotel as well. The bed was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was amazing! The room is big in terms of European hotels. I would definitely stay at this hotel again

Loved my stay. The hotel is so cute. When we arrived, the staff brought our luggage up to our room. The room was large and had a coffee pot and tea pot. The hotel has an elevator, a gym and a business center. There's a cute bar in the lobby and a restaurant on the roof. The breakfast buffet was great, as was dinner. The staff was so kind and helpful. It's a short walk to the colesseum from the hotel. I would definetly stay here again.
